We Are All Rats!
By Rita Gangwani on Mar 24, 2023The race is on….but there’s no finish line….its a never ending race….He or she is doing better than me….she/ he has more followers….oh….he/she is going to take my followers away….this is mine….only mine…why is someone else claiming its theirs… I was the first one who started this….how can people steal my idea… Why? Why? Why? We all do this??????? It’s difficult to pin down the moment you joined the rat race. It just sort of…happened.
A rat race is an endless, self-defeating, or pointless pursuit. The phrase equates humans to rats attempting to earn a reward such as cheese, in vain. It may also refer to a competitive struggle to get ahead financially, routinely, or in popularity…an exhausting, repetitive lifestyle that leaves no time for relaxation or enjoyment. The rat race is a way of life in which people compete aggressively with each other in order to be successful and there is no time to relax or enjoy yourself. stuck in the rat race
Everyone complains about it. But few people ever seem to escape it. There’s a reason for that…You’ve been trained to be a rat. You’ve been trained to stay in your cage, find your wheel, and run and run until you die. It’s as simple as that. Who trained you? No one but your own mind!! You want to get out of the rat race, have a lot less stress, and start living life without limitations?? and keep reading.
First thing we need to realize is that the world has enough for everyone’s need, but not enough for everyone’s greed. We need to build each other up! There is enough sun for everyone! Competition, by itself, always leads to cheating by the powerful, who try to establish pyramids of power. Yet, competition is the great creative force! So how do we save it from its own contradictions? By cooperation! By cooperating with each other, so that competition can thrive!
The rats that are in the race will put boulders on your path, pull u down, stomp over u…make u feel as low as they can. Don’t torture yourself by exhausting yourself and running as hard as ever…huffing, puffing to compete with them. You must have faith that good things will come to you and have positive energy which invites them into your life. You have to understand that you won’t always know the answers, but it doesn’t mean you are alone. Just do what you are doing without bothering to enter the race. Go to the referee and ask him to remove your name from the list. Tell the referee u are running independently at your own pace…in peace, and withdraw from this Rat race.
All you really need is to let go of your worries, questions, and anxiety and simply have faith and create space for the great things that are coming your way. Don’t search for happiness, let your happiness find you once you are ready to receive it.
We are all on the same journey, and that journey is sometimes filled with fear, tears, and pain, but those are just parts of the journey, the same as joy, laughter, and happiness. What I have learned over and over again is that no matter what happens, what’s meant to be yours will always come to you, no matter how much patience and overcoming of challenges it takes.
I am trying to get out of the rat race and think about what is important in life. Do you ever fantasize about leaving the rat race behind? Once you escape the rat race, you’ll be able to move freely and appreciate the world around you without getting dizzy. Remember: Life is a journey, not the destination, and you don’t want to spend that journey on a treadmill going nowhere.
I will not join the rat race because I’m not a rat. And I will not blindly follow a specific faith because I’m not a bat. The only race I’ll take part in is for humans being humane. It’s called the human race, and sadly it’s got the least participants.
The trouble with being in the rat race is that even if you win, you’re still a RAT.
